A highly-anticipated biopic capturing the life of tech mogul Elon Musk is in the works at A24, with acclaimed director Darren Aronofsky set to take the helm.

The screenplay will draw inspiration from Walter Isaacson’s authorized biography, a revealing account of the controversial entrepreneur published in September. Isaacson, known for his work on Steve Jobs, the 2015 Universal film starring Michael Fassbender, brings his storytelling prowess to Musk’s compelling narrative.

According to sources, A24 emerged victorious in a competitive bidding war among studios and filmmakers eager to secure the rights to Isaacson’s book. Aronofsky, celebrated for his surreal filmmaking style evident in films like Requiem for a Dream (2000) and Black Swan (2010), will infuse his unique touch into Musk’s story.

Elon Musk’s journey to prominence began with the founding of SpaceX in 2002, followed by pivotal roles in Tesla. His recent headline-making move involved acquiring Twitter for a staggering $44 billion, rebranding it as X and instituting controversial changes. Musk’s impact on various industries, from space exploration to social media, has made him one of the world’s wealthiest individuals, with an estimated net worth surpassing $200 billion as of October.

Musk, responding to the news on X, expressed his satisfaction, stating, “Glad Darren is doing it. He is one of the best.” The biopic promises to delve into the complexities of Musk’s life, providing audiences with a closer look at the man behind the groundbreaking ventures.
