Angstrom sends Mark to many alternate dimensions in order to torture him. Debbie tries to convince Angstrom to let Mark go, but Angstrom refuses to before suffering from visions of his alternate selves, forced to relive their agonizing memories of their Marks killing his loved ones over and over again. Debbie attacks Angstrom, who breaks her arm and beats her. Mark eventually returns to see his mother beaten. Enraged by this, Mark beats Angstrom into a bloody mess, killing him but stranding him in a desolate dimension. Distraught by his actions, Mark is eventually rescued by a future version of the Guardians of the Globe from his own dimension, who send him home. Before Mark leaves, he is stopped by future-Eve, who confesses her feelings to him. The Immortal discovers that the original Kate is alive and in hiding and reunites with her, while two archaeologists uncover the tomb of Ka-Hor. At the urging of her future-self, Mark meets with Eve but is unable to admit his feelings for her. Allen is sent to the Viltrumite prison Nolan is held, and proposes he join the fight against them. Nolan reveals his guilt for his actions, and admits that he misses his wife.
