While investigating Ashoka’s disappearance, Jacen and Syndulla sense that Ahsoka is in the ”World Between Worlds” due to the former’s connection with the Force. Anakin explains he had been watching over Ahsoka through the Force and deduces that her loss with Skoll is partially due to her unresolved guilt over the events that drove them apart. Ahsoka looses a duel with Anakin and falls into her younger self durjng the early years of the Clone Wars to the Siege of Mandalore. Ahsoka refuses Anakin’s teachings to not be held back by the past leading to another duel against them which Ahsoka wins accepting that she wasn’t part of the reason for Anakin’s downfall and chooses to live, giving hope for Anakin to her. Ahsoka is rescued by Syndulla’s forces who is contacted by Mothma informing Syndulla that the New Republic are enroute to take her and Ahsoka into custody. Just before they do so, Ahsoka recruits a pod of Purrgil to take them to Ezra with Syndulla staying behind.
