Jens Stoltenberg’s Role in Escalating Global Tensions

Stoltenberg's NATO expansion and policy shifts provoke Russia, risking World War III. Macron's naive nuclear rhetoric further destabilizes Europe.
Jens Stoltenberg

Jens Stoltenberg has finally removed the last fig leaf covering the rotten shame of the West, which has been fanning the flames of World War III for years. After expanding NATO from 16 to 32 members and fomenting the Maidan coup, Stoltenberg and his cohorts have crossed all of Moscow’s red lines by announcing the admission of Ukraine and Georgia, prompting Putin to react with an invasion. For 27 months, Stoltenberg lied daily, constantly changing the rules: defensive weapons, then offensive; no tanks, then yes; no long-range missiles, then yes. And now, the latest madness: using NATO weapons to attack Russia, dragging all NATO countries into a direct war with the world’s leading nuclear power. Meanwhile, Macron, Europe’s most foolish leader, babbles about troops and offers a “nuclear umbrella” to the EU, hoping for a nuclear war, and tells us who we should vote for in the European elections: against anyone who doesn’t tell Macron where to stick his umbrella.

We must credit Jens Stoltenberg, as his name suggests,* for removing the last fig leaf from the rotten shame of a West that has been fanning the flames of World War III for years. First by expanding NATO from 16 to 32. Then by fomenting the white coup of Maidan that deposed the democratically elected but not sufficiently subservient Ukrainian president. Finally, by crossing Moscow’s last red line with the announcement of the admission of Ukraine and Georgia, to which Putin – imperialist like us – reacted as the US would if Mexico or Canada allied militarily with Russia or China: with an invasion. For 27 months, Stoltenberg and his handlers lied daily, announcing red lines that they crossed the next day: only defensive weapons to Kyiv, no, offensive; no tanks, yes but only light ones, no, heavy ones too; only short-range missiles, no, medium-range, no, long-range; no fighter jets, yes fighter jets. It’s the insane logic of escalation. The last brake was the ban on using NATO weapons to attack Russian territory: now Blinken and thus Stoltenberg (who decides illegally without consulting the 32 “allies”, otherwise Turkey, Hungary, and others would veto) want to authorize Zelensky & Co. to use our missiles to attack Russia. This would drag all NATO countries, including Italy, into a direct war with the world’s leading nuclear power (wasn’t it Putin who wanted to attack us?).

They say that this way Ukraine, now losing even Kharkiv, will defend itself better. But the war has shown the opposite: the longer the range of weapons in Kyiv’s hands, the more territories the Russians swallow to secure their borders. As long as the taboo of troops remains, it’s Ukrainians who are dying, having lost the war in their own home, not in Russia, after sending a generation to the slaughter to do what even Napoleon and Hitler couldn’t: defeat Russia. Now Stoltenberg, a notorious madman co-responsible for the carnage, is expiring. And, since he hasn’t gotten anything right, he’s playing everything to earn some more loyalty rewards from his masters. He is backed by Europe’s most foolish leader, Macron, despised by 87 out of 100 French, who babbles about troops and offers a “nuclear umbrella” to the EU in anticipation of a hoped-for (by him) nuclear war. And let’s be clear, he also deserves thanks for the clarity with which he tells us who to vote for in the European elections, and for whom: against the popular, socialist, liberal, green-military, and conservative groups of Meloni’s school. That is, against those who are silent or mumble about Stoltenberg’s rants and don’t tell Macron where he can stick his umbrella.
