Season 1 – Episode 5
Episode title: Terces
Original release date: July 17, 2025
Plot: Turner, Vasquez, and other federal agents find and assault the base, arresting two workers while killing others. While they find several dead women similarly tattooed, the suspects reveal no knowledge of Lucy’s death, which Turner accepts. Michael arrives at Turner’s house and finds Jill and Gael. A hostile confrontation escalates between Michael and Jill before Turner arrives and detains him. Jill is disturbed, not by the fight but by her jealousy of Vasquez’s motherhood, leading to an attempted suicide using pills from Maguire. After visiting Jill at the hospital, Turner goes to the hotel and publicly assaults Maguire over the suicide attempt, leading to his suspension. While turning over his investigation materials to the FBI, Turner finds a phone in Lucy’s belongings and travels to the morgue to unlock it. After doing so, he looks through videos and discovers a video revealing “Terces” to be Maguire. Turner travels armed to Maguire’s camp to confront him. After Turner discovers more pills, Maguire shoots him with a rifle, and a chase ensues.

Untamed – S01E05 – Terces | Full transcript
[Shane] That Jane Doe of yours who took a header off El Capitan, she’s a real miracle child, huh?
Comes roaring back to life like Jesus Christ himself.
Do any of you know her?
[woman] Lucy got a crush on some guy… After that, when I’d see her, she’d either be carrying drugs or cash.
They’re bad people.
Who isn’t?
[Naya] Using the mines to run product?
That would be the bet.
Hey, Mommy.
You shouldn’t be here.
Get your hand off him.
[tense music playing] Gael!
[Naya] There’s a restraining order, so he’s not supposed to come near us.
[Turner] It’s all connected somehow.
Lucy Cook, the drugs, Teddy, now Abuelo.
[Morris] .45 caliber?
[Naya] Very close range.
[Turner] I don’t think Abuelo’s coming back.
Where’d you get these?
Couldn’t say.
[Pakuna] Rangers came.
And they found Abuelo.
[tense music fades]
[bird screeching]
[suspenseful music playing]
[metallic click]
[gasps]
[Turner] Which way?
East or west?
West.
Clear both shafts.
[stun gun crackling]
[thuds]
[man grunts]
[agent] Copy. All right.
Leave him. Down there.
[groaning]
Alpha approaching lab.
[suspenseful music continues]
[agent] FBI! Don’t move! Get down!
[gunfire]
[indistinct yelling]
[gunfire continues]
[Turner] They know we’re here.
[agent] Freeze!
[distant gunfire]
Don’t move!
Federal agents!
[indistinct yelling]
[gunfire]
[bullets ricocheting]
[man] Down!
[flash bang explodes]
[Turner] Go! Move!
[gunshots]
Ah!
[man 2] Go! Go! Keep going inside.
Come on, hurry! This way!
Go!
Ah! Hurry! Hurry!
Come on, they’re right behind!
Move! Go, go. This way. Come on!
[groans]
[agent] Clear. Check over here.
They’ve moved out through another exit.
[man on radio] Roger that.
[Turner] Check for access to the west.
[rapid beeping]
Explosive!
[rumbling echoes]
[muffled soundscape]
[Naya grunting]
[high-pitched ringing]
[Naya] Turner?
[Turner grunts]
Can you walk?
[panting]
[sound regulates]
They blew the lab. Two agents down.
Send a rescue team.
[groans]
[on radio] More gunmen exiting the lower tunnel.
[Turner grunting]
[coughing]
[on radio] Bravo Team, we need a sitrep.
[exciting music playing]
[on radio] We got three more here!
[indistinct radio chatter]
[man panting]
[Turner] Stop! Federal agent!
[groaning]
[gunfire echoing]
[on radio] We’ve got contact. BOLO still here. We’re taking fire!
[indistinct radio chatter]
[small engine revving]
[agent] That’s him! Right there!
Down!
[revving]
[engine departing]
[gunfire]
[yelling, grunting]
[man gasps]
[grunts]
[music stops]
[on radio] It’s all fully clear All fully clear.
[mysterious music playing]
Obviously, we’re all shocked to discover a remote area of the park being used illegally in this manner.
But we’re thankful it was discovered and eliminated.
Over here.
Sir?
[reporter] Another camp was discovered along the eastern border this morning.
It’s connected to the same trafficking operation?
[Lawrence] Yeah, we’re certain of that.
[Turner] Dead a few hours.
Likely suicides.
The mules get the X so there’s no confusion with the buyers.
And convinced them if things went bad, they’d be better off dead.
Four cots and three bodies.
[indistinct radio chatter]
[light pensive music plays]
[anxious music playing]
No sick deer around here.
I just wandered over to get in on the fun, Kyle.
Found this place pretty quick, Shane.
[scoffs]
Almost like you knew where it was.
Wasn’t too tough to find.
You and your bunch made quite a racket.
It’s an active scene, so you need to clear out.
Got a little bump, Kyle.
Should get that looked at.
Hey, make sure this guy gets back to his vehicle.
If he tries to reenter, arrest him.
[camera shutter clicking]
[man] Okay, let’s go. Come on. Move it.
I’m…
What you drawing?
I’m drawing a hole full of spiders.
Oh-ho-ho.
Yeah, nothing’s gonna hold this closed.
You need stitches.
[Turner] Nah.
[Naya] You can do better than that.
[Jill] Sorry.
So…
That’s it, huh?
Lucy Cook?
These are the guys that killed her?
Well, the pieces fit.
I mean, she worked for them, so…
What happens next?
[exhales sharply]
I ask them if they did it.
They say no.
[Jill] I’m just glad you’re okay.
[Turner] If you say so.
[Gael] I’m not doing good.
[Naya] Okay. These are pretty!
Where’d you get the markers?
Miss Jill let me use her little boy’s crayons from a box.
That was nice of her.
[Gael] Am I going to school today?
I was hoping you would help me feed the horses.
I saw some not-too-rotten carrots in the fridge.
I can’t ask you to watch him again.
Oh no. That was me asking. Not you.
My plan wasn’t for us to be a long-term problem.
It’s between you two.
[door thumps open]
Are you sure you don’t mind?
Uh, as long as Gael can handle another day with me.
What do you think? Yeah?
[chuckles] I’ll see you in a little while, okay?
[kisses, groans]
Thanks.
Oh, can I add something?
Bye!
[Naya] Bye!
Tell me what I can add to this.
So what happened?
Abuelo started skimming off the top?
Or he set up his own little franchise?
Who’s Abuelo?
He’s the guy you shot in the head and didn’t bury deep enough.
Doesn’t ring a bell.
[Turner] No?
What about Teddy Redwine?
Shark attack.
We found this in one of the vehicles in your camp today.
I don’t know what to tell ya.
People go hiking, drop things.
Simon, you’re already on the hook for killing three federal agents last night, so the time to play stupid and confused, that’s long gone.
Teddy Redwine, he was asking around about your product, about your gold tattoos, like this.
Lucy Cook, she was one of your drug mules.
What happened?
Abuelo talked her into what?
Partnering up? Is that why you shot her?
I told you. I don’t know any of these fucking people.
Want to change it up?
Let me try talking to him?
Your boss just told me that you killed Lucy Cook. Why?
Who?
She cross you guys somehow?
Maybe.
It’s tough to say since I don’t know who you’re talking about.
[Turner] Why’d he want her dead?
You’re not pinning that shit on me.
Tell me who to pin it on, then.
[exhaling deeply]
Man, how many times I gotta say I got nothing for you?
This is a limited and isolated event, and the park is safe and open for business.
[reporter] Do you believe that the recent deaths inside the park were all related…
[Souter] Hamilton working hard to say all the right things.
Every step of this investigation has led us directly to this place.
[reporter 2] Sir, just one more.
Guess we shouldn’t tell him what actually led us there was me falling into a hole.
[chuckling] Why ruin his moment?
Haven’t seen Lawrence smile for quite a bit.
Might not last.
[light pensive music plays]
I’m not sure they killed Lucy Cook.
What?
[Turner] The lead guy, Simon, when I showed him the photo of dead Lucy, he looked surprised.
Well, that seems unlikely.
Think you misread it?
[Naya] I wasn’t allowed in the room.
But we know Lucy was working for him.
We also know he’s responsible for Abuelo and Teddy Redwine.
Or someone in his outfit is.
Is it possible that they killed her without him knowing?
[Turner] Not the best survival plan in that kind of operation.
Or if he did flinch… maybe it wasn’t surprise.
What if he reacted because he had feelings for her?
He’s not that guy.
[Naya] I get it, but Lucy’s friend Summer told me Lucy was in a relationship with someone involved with the drugs.
And if it was Simon, and even though he wanted it done, seeing her all busted up like that for the first time caught him off guard.
Abuelo was executed, shot in the head and buried.
Teddy Redwine strangled, dumped in a river.
Those are clean kills.
Lucy Cook, she’s shot in the leg, chased all over the park, hides out for a night, and goes off the edge.
Nothing clean about that.
Yeah, it does seem different.
[Naya] It’s still hard to ignore the guys with the guns.
Simon doesn’t do one little flinch, and this is pretty open and shut.
But he flinched.
[music fades]
[Turner] I need you to run ballistics on any rifle found.
Looking for something specific?
If it can shoot a .284, run it.
We’re still clearing sections of the mine.
We’ll clear those areas too.
[Turner] You can see a list here.
There has to be a match eventually.
Right.
I can almost hear the thud.
You crashing back to earth as you realize you’re still just a park ranger.
Thud.
Vasquez, let’s go.
[Milch laughs]
[Turner] Lucy Cook’s trail is way off.
What do you mean?
Well, if we work backwards, we know she went off El Capitan, off the summit right here.
Okay?
[Naya] Mm.
And the hunting shack… was here.
The ridge where she was shot.
Where they made the drops was right here, and where I found the bottle was here.
That’s where our trail starts.
The mines are over here?
Way east. Right there.
What’s in this area?
[Turner] Campground. A few homes.
Already on the run? Hiding?
Your girl saw her make the drops.
She wasn’t running yet.
What was she doing here?
Ride that way and take a look?
Yeah.
And by ride, I mean drive.
[Naya] Busy campground.
Plenty of customers if Lucy was starting her own business.
Start here with a full supply of pills, then do the Abuelo job with the rest.
Would explain her route.
But not the flinch.
Maybe a deal with the wrong people on this side.
They know she’s carrying.
Track her across the park.
That’s a case that never gets closed.
Or ballistics comes back with a match to Simon’s guns, all tied up nice and neat.
[Turner] We can hope.
[chuckling] You lost, Kyle?
Never see you on this side of the world.
Hey, Mary. Just showing Ranger Vasquez some of the sights.
Look at my swing partner.
[Mary] We wandered down from our house to let Roscoe stretch his legs.
[Naya] Good day for it. Mmhmm.
[Mary] Yeah, it sure is.
Excuse me a second.
You find a new fishing spot?
Wasn’t in the mood for a bike ride, so I wandered down to the stream.
Didn’t get a sniff.
Wandered from where?
Your place is over by me.
Not for the past month.
I told you I found a good deal on a rental here.
You white men don’t pay me enough to own property.
Oh yeah, I forgot.
No, you just don’t listen to me most of the time.
That’s true.
Yeah.
Hey, I was wondering, have you heard any chatter in your community about Lucy Cook?
Chatter in my community?
Like, smoke signals back and forth?
Between the rain dances?
You get prickly when the fish don’t bite.
I mean since her mom used to live here.
I just thought maybe
Why?
I thought all this was done.
Just trying to tie up a few loose ends.
Tie ’em up.
[Gael] Can we make pictures?
Yes.
[Jill sighs]
Oh, you got a horseshoe.
Shoe.
Yep, it goes on the bottom.
Protects their feet when they walk on the rocks.
That’s you!
A long time ago.
It was a long time ago.
[vehicle approaching]
[car door opens, closes]
[Jill] Can I help you?
[atmospheric music plays lightly]
Hi.
Hi.
Sorry to wander in your place like this.
I’m looking for Naya.
One of the rangers told me she might be here.
I… I think she’s down at the station.
I tried calling her.
You know, reception’s spotty in the park.
I can go ask my husband.
He’s in the house. He’s a federal agent.
They work together.
So he’s here and she’s not?
I don’t know. I wasn’t here when she left.
I think she took his park vehicle.
I can ask him.
No, no, no, don’t…
Don’t worry about it.
I’ll go down to the station.
Thanks for your help.
Sure.
[Gael] Miss Jill, can I have some more peanut butter toast?
Hey!
Gman!
How are you? Come, give me a hug!
I’m sorry, who are you exactly?
I think she knows who I am.
Where’s your mommy?
She’s at work.
I’m staying here with Miss Jill.
She’s at work?
You need to go.
[music turns tense]
Come on, let’s go.
Where do you think you’re going?
[tense music builds]
I want you to go in the back and hide, okay?
Go!
[door handle clattering] Can’t just steal my kid, Miss Jill!
I’m calling the police!
I am the police!
Lady, I got no problem with you.
Stay out of the way.
You’re not taking him!
[grunting]
Goddammit!
[Jill yelps]
[screaming] Don’t hurt her!
She hurt me first!
You’re not taking him!
[grunting]
[groans] I told you to stay the fuck out!
[grunting]
[coughing]
Gael! Come here! Quick!
[groans]
You fucking piece of shit!
Hey! Stay back! I got this.
It’s your fault, Naya!
All your fucking fault!
You
Shut up! Get outta here!
Go check on him. Now!
[Naya yells]
[music turns solemn]
[quietly] Come here. Come here.
It’s okay. I got you. I got you.
Thank you.
We’re okay now, I got you.
I got you.
[music fades]
[police radio chatter]
[ranger] Watch your head.
If you ever have another kid you want me to watch, we should do a background check and look for violent sociopath family members first.
Guy didn’t know who he was dealing with.
Oh yeah.
Luckily you showed up just as he was figuring it out.
You did good.
Yeah.
I honestly couldn’t tell you what I did.
It all happened so fast.
All I really do remember is just watching Naya hold him after, and instead of feeling happy for them, I felt this… overwhelming sense of… jealousy.
[laughs ruefully]
What a terrible person I’ve become.
Maybe I always was?
Huh?
And it just took losing Caleb to really let me shine.
The brutal confirmation of your silence.
Jill…
You were perfect.
Until I wasn’t.
[melancholy music playing]
[car door shuts]
[engine starts]
[child’s scream echoing]
[low rumbling]
[cell phone ringing]
Hello?
Hey.
[Jill] Hey.
It’s a lousy thing to do, try and beat me to it.
Everyone was gonna think I copied you.
I’m sorry.
[tearfully] I’m so sorry.
[Turner] It’s okay.
[Jill sobbing softly]
[door opening]
Need the room cleared, please.
Some tests to run.
Okay.
[whispers] Please don’t tell anyone.
Never.
Thanks for the call.
Mmhm. [clears throat] Kyle.
I, uh…
I called you as a courtesy.
I thought you should know that this isn’t working.
This whole circle of pain you and Jill have going, it’s not sustainable, not for either of you.
Now, I can’t imagine… how you both hurt.
And I… I have no idea if I could survive it myself.
But I need… I need Jill… to survive this, Kyle.
And I need you to help me make sure she does, even if that’s hard for you.
[dark, brooding music plays]
[indistinct chatter]
[dark music intensifies]
I’m still standing there with my dick in my hand
[people laughing]
Kyle! There he is. Grab a beer.
Let’s toast you solving your
[grunts]
[people gasping] Goddamn, Kyle.
You should’ve told her no.
Might have to narrow that down for me.
You should’ve fucking told her no!
[spits]
[dark music pulsing tensely]
She was your wife, Kyle.
Should’ve told her yourself instead of crying into a fucking bottle.
Okay, big guy.
[people gasping]
Easy, man!
[Turner] Hmm?
[breathing fiercely]
Hmm?
I see the resemblance between you two now.
[dark pulsing music rises]
[pulsing music relents and fades out]
[sighs]
Shit.
[banging]
[bubbling]
[Turner groans]
[Souter sighs deeply]
So what did you figure?
Morning comes, and the whole world just forgets that you charged into the hotel drunk, threatening to shoot some-goddamn-body in the fucking head?!
Wasn’t in the hotel.
It was outside, and I hadn’t started drinking yet.
You be sure to tell them that.
And use that clever tone of yours.
That’s guaranteed to help your case.
Drink that.
What is it with you and Maguire?
Did he sleep with Jill or something?
[sighs] No.
I just don’t like him.
Well, you coulda got him transferred outta here long ago.
Why’d you let it get to this?
Put on a clean shirt!
Now let’s get out of here, goddammit.
[Lawrence] I’ve spoken to Deputy Chief Sullivan at ISB.
He asked that I inform you they’ve placed you on suspension, effective immediately, pending an investigation into last night’s events.
Agent Dixon’ll take over your current duties and you’ll pass on all pertinent information to him.
If Shane Maguire decides to press charges, that’ll be a separate legal matter.
But… as far as the park is concerned, your time here is over.
I’ll get my things together for you, Bill.
All right, Kyle.
[door opens]
[door closes]
You could’ve tried not to sound so fucking happy about it, Lawrence.
You gonna tell me what’s going on?
Agent Dixon’s taking over for me.
Told him we’d get him all the case info.
So that’s it?
That’s it.
Hey
[vehicle starts]
[Jay] Maybe we’ll put you in the Miwok history books.
The first white man to get run off our land.
Least it won’t take you too long to pack.
The question is… can you do it?
Can you leave?
[exhales deeply]
I don’t know.
Olet’te, Coyote-Man, created the Miwok in this valley 4,000 years ago.
Gave us Elo’win for the after.
That’s 4,000 years of my people’s spirits running through everything here.
The earth, the water, the wind.
[atmospheric music plays]
I feel them when I walk through the trees.
I hear them all around me when the world quiets.
So when it’s my time to die, I will die here.
But if I chose to die somewhere else, I would still have my ancestors with me, because the spirits in this valley are within each one of us.
The same as they are in the earth, the water, and the winds.
[inhales] At least that’s what I remember from the Lone Ranger comic book when I was a kid.
[laughing quietly]
[vehicle approaching]
[vehicle doors closing]
These new badges, they care about Lucy as much as you do?
I hope so.
[Jay] Agents.
Sorry how this played out, Kyle.
Ballistics hasn’t come back with a match on the Lucy Cook bullet.
Just take another look at the case.
Ranger Vasquez can help you with all that.
I already got pressure to tie her death in with the trafficking. You know?
A real push to tie things up as clean as possible.
Oh yeah. Clean makes it easy on everybody.
[chuckles]
But you know what?
I’ll look at everything.
All right.
Thanks.
[sighs]
Hang on a sec, Bill.
[pills rattling]
[pensive music builds slowly]
[Bill] There something else?
[Turner] Yeah.
I’m in enough trouble without someone thinking I stole these.
Ooh. I might hang on to ’em till I see how this job goes.
[Turner chuckles]
[suspenseful music playing]
[exhales]
Aw, shit.
[breathes deeply]
[music fades]
[coroner] Never done this, so it’s just a wild swing in the dark.
It’s the only swing I’ve got.
Give it a try.
[tone blips]
[tone blips]
[Turner sighs]
[coroner] Yeah.
There’s a biometric element to these scans.
If any reading is off…
Know how many chances before it locks?
Hang on a second.
What’s that?
Formaldehyde.
That’s an older phone.
So if we can… warm the tissues just a bit, might create enough heat to trick the tech into reading her skin as alive.
[tone chimes]
[soft gasp]
[coroner] How about that?
Hasn’t been used as a phone.
Not even set up yet.
Here I am!
[exhales]
Would you mind giving us a second?
Yeah, you got it, Kyle.
[door opens]
[birds chirping on phone]
[door closes]
[deep pensive music rises]
Look at that. I’m the deer whisperer.
[male voice] Stop that shit. Quit fucking around! Like a fucking bug.
[music turns ominous]
[distant siren wailing]
Hey. If you don’t hear from me in the next 24 hours, there’s a phone in the dash of my truck.
Truck’ll be at my place.
[Naya] What are you talking about?
What phone? It’s Lucy Cook’s.
Where did you find it?
Not a word to anybody.
[engine starts]
[cell phone buzzing]
Hey.
[Turner] I have to go and arrest Shane Maguire.
He’s caught up in the drug operation.
And there’s a good chance he killed Lucy Cook.
So he’s gonna wanna take me down too.
I have to assume he’s gonna talk.
About Sanderson, about everything.
Sorry, but I don’t have any other choice.
[softly] Maybe it’s a good thing.
[inhales quickly]
Be careful.
[slow, tense music playing]
[horse sighing]
[pills rattling]
[rifle shot]
Ah.
[nickering]
[groans]
[shot echoing]
[straining, panting]
[gasping]
[rapid breathing]
[low rumbling]
[steady breathing]
[branches creaking softly]
[low rumbling]
[branches creaking]
[ethereal tones rise]
[whispers] He’s coming.
[soundscape dissolves]
[sweeping, mysterious music playing]
[music fades]
