Episode plot: In the penultimate episode of season two, Jonathan Pine is exposed as a British intelligence operative, placing him and his allies in immediate danger. Richard Roper confirms Pine’s identity and orders Mayra to uncover his remaining collaborators. Basil attempts to flee the UK after leaving incriminating files for Angela Burr, but he is captured by Mayra.
In Colombia, Roper grows suspicious of Teddy Dos Santos despite the imminent arms shipment. Pine shelters with Roxana, who learns he lacks the promised protection, deepening her peril. Pine confronts Roper at a restaurant, demanding he surrender, but Roper counters with a bribe, which Pine rejects.
Pine secretly undermines Roper by exposing Teddy’s expendability, prompting Teddy to covertly defect. Roper discovers surveillance near his compound and hunts the operative responsible. In England, Mayra tortures and ultimately kills Basil. The episode ends as Roxana surrenders herself to Roper, offering Pine in exchange, setting up the final confrontation.
