Sally and Basil take money from Roper’s frozen bank account to provide Pine with the funds to ‘invest’ in Teddy’s operation. Teddy informs Pine that he will be sent back to Europe after his investment processes, so Pine reveals his knowledge of Teddy’s arms deals. This spooks Teddy’s lawyer, Juan Carrascal, into checking the office with Roxana. She covertly copies the documents he produces. Meanwhile, Pine is taken to Teddy’s boat for interrogation. In London, Mayra tasks Basil with recovering the Roper account, forcing him to pull the funds and endanger Pine. Basil manages to deceive Mayra into releasing the funds, saving Pine before he is murdered. Pine builds trust with Teddy, discovering his plan to create an army of disaffected orphans. Roxana gives the shipping documents to Pine. Sally, Martin and Pine follow Teddy to a meeting with his benefactor, revealed to be an alive Roper.

The Night Manager – S02E03 – Episode 3 | Transcript

[Teddy] Listen carefully. Take this briefcase to the Cartagena office. Give it to Paloma. She’ll look after it. Safe travels.

I’ll come straight back.

[Roxana] He’s still unconscious.

[Teddy] Mr Hanson, please. Someone should take him back.

[Roxana] I’ll look after him.

[Teddy] Stay with him. Make sure he’s okay. I need his money.

[Roxana] Good night.

[Teddy] Hi, chief.

[Roxana] How the fuck did you do that?

[Pine] Maybe you should stay here tonight. I think it’s what they expect. There’s some spare clothes in the suitcase.

[Pine] What’s in the Barquero shipments?

[Roxana] You never stop, do you? British weaponry under the counter.

[Pine] In the morning, I want you to find Teddy. Tell him I agree to his deal. Say I have business meetings on the coast. I’ll sign the contract in Cartagena. I need proof of that shipment. And you’re gonna help me get it.

[Roxana] If I get you in, I’m done. I walk away clean.

[Pine] I’ll tell you when you’re done.

[Roxana] I don’t even know your fucking name. But let me make something clear. You are not the one in control here.

CARTAGENA, COLOMBIA

[Pine] Tell me about the Barquero offices.

[Roxana] They’re near the port. Very high security, extensive camera and alarm systems inside. I have a pass to the main building, but there’s an annexe at the rear which they keep private. It’s pass coded. Your briefcase will be in there.

[Pine] They’ll be watching me. I need the code for the annexe and the CCTV serial numbers.

[Roxana] You’re very demanding. You know that?

[Teddy] Matthew.

[Pine] Teddy.

[Teddy] Welcome, my friend.

[Pine] Good morning.

[Teddy] Welcome to Barquero. All good?

[Pine] All good.

[Teddy] Nice. Please. How were your other meetings?

[Pine] Lots of Caribbean hot air. Not much substance.

[Teddy] Don’t worry. That’s about to change. Please.

[Sally] Our boy’s entering the castle.  The Roper piggy bank will be required.

[Basil] How much?

[Sally] Twenty million. And I’m not talking pesos.

[Basil] Okay.

[Sally] Transfer it to the Belize account. I’ll hold it there for a while to buy him some time.

[Paloma] Hello. How are you?

[Roxana] Hello. I’m fine.

[Paloma] Good morning.

[Pine] Matthew. Pleasure.

[Teddy] This is Paloma. She’s the guardian of the castle. And I warn you. Don’t mess with her.

[Paloma] Proof of identification, please, Mr. Ellis.

[Pine] Of course.

[Teddy] Just a formality, Matthew. That’s all.

[Paloma] Okay.

[Teddy] Come on in. Ready?

[Paloma] All good?

[Teddy] All good.

[Paloma] There are three copies of the documents. Please read and sign on page six, nine and twelve.

[Teddy] Take your time, Matthew. There’s no rush.

[Pine] A donation?

[Teddy] To my wonderful charity looking after young victims of Colombia’s many years of violence.

[Pine] And the second document?

[Teddy] Is your share ownership in a brand-new company. It will pay a handsome dividend in three months’ time.

[Pine] With a laundry ticket.

[Paloma]  For your records.

[Pine] Thank you.

[Paloma] You’re welcome.

[Roxana] Paloma, I need copies for the bank in Miami.

[Paloma] Okay.

[Juan] I think now it’s time for the money.

[Pine] Yes. I will just have to call my bank in Belize to authorize the payment.

[Teddy] It’s okay. Be my guest.

[Juan] Excuse me. Speakerphone, please.

[Sally] Good afternoon, Mr. Ellis. This is gold level customer liaison. My name is Rebecca. How can I help you?

[Pine] Yes. Hello. Good afternoon, Rebecca. I’m calling to authorize a transfer to an account registered in the name of the Aurora foundation in Medellín in Colombia. It’s a charitable donation.

[Sally] Of course. Security processes will take place now. Please plug in the beneficiary account and Iban number in question.

[Pine] Yes, of course. Okay.

[Sally] Thank you very much, Mr. Ellis. How much would you like to send to the Aurora foundation today?

[Pine] Twenty million us dollars.

[Sally] Of course. Just to let you know, the money will be in the receiving account within 12 hours. This is due to additional data checks being instigated according to new financial regulations here in Belize.

[Pine] Understood. Thank you so much, Rebecca, thank you.

[Sally] Thank you, Mr. Ellis. Have a good day.

[Pine] You too.

[Juan] You didn’t say there would be a delay.

[Pine] I didn’t know. I don’t do this kind of thing every day. Maybe you do.

[Roxana] Financial rules in Belize are strict. That’s how it is.

[Juan] But we need the money tonight.

[Teddy] It’s okay. It won’t be a problem. No?

[Pine] No, no. It’s a routine check.

[Teddy] Matthew and I trust each other, and that’s what matters. Right? You’ll stay as our guest until the money enters our account.

[Pine] Happily.

[Teddy] Roxana, take Matthew to his hotel and make sure he’s comfortable. Okay?

José Cabrera, accused of paramilitary activity against the government, remains a fugitive from justice. According to official sources, his family hacienda is empty, and police believe he may be hiding in the jungle areas in the south.

[Sally] Hi. Are you okay?

[Alejandro] No, they’re watching my apartment, and they’re not hiding it.

[Sally] Okay, we just need some more time. Max is on the inside. He’s getting the shipment list.

[Alejandro] I’m giving you 24 hours. Then I’m letting the shipment go.

[Roxana] Thank you.

[Roxana] Good morning. Roxana Bolaños.

Okay.

[Pine] Matthew Ellis.

[Pine] Viktor.

[Viktor] Hi, friend.

[Pine] Hi.

[Viktor] I borrowed this from your suitcase. I hope you don’t mind.

[Pine] Absolutely fine.

[Pine] Hi.

[Roxana] Hi.

[Pine] Let’s go for a walk. Show me the ocean.

[Pine] If this is Teddy trusting, I’d love to see him suspicious.

[Roxana] No. Trust me, you wouldn’t.

[Pine] You have the code to the annexe?

[Roxana] 732349. There are two cameras inside.

[Pine] You have the serial numbers?

[Roxana] I got the central hub. You better be good for the money.

[Pine] I’m good for the money. Why are you involved in any of this?

[Roxana] Five million reasons.

José Cabrera’s whereabouts are still unknown. According to the latest reports, search teams are being deployed together with police and the national army so as to catch this dangerous criminal.

[Pine] We need to lose our friend.

[Roxana] And how do we do that? I want immunity from prosecution and anonymity.

[Pine] You were never here.

[Pine] Viktor. Come here. Listen. Look. In a while, I’m gonna… Take the lady back to the hotel, and I’d appreciate a little privacy. So if you just stay in the bar for a while… Understand?

[Viktor] Yeah. I mean, how long can an Englishman take?

[Roxana] He’s downstairs.

[Pine] Come through.

[Roxana] Thanks.

[Pine] We don’t have much time.

[Roxana] Do all your girlfriends get this treatment?

[Pine] Not exactly.

[Roxana] You don’t have anyone, do you?

[Pine] Do you?

[Roxana] That is what is known as deflection. Matthew.

[Pine] Ask for another bottle to be delivered in an hour. Tell them to leave it outside the door. I need your pass.

[Roxana] What if you’re playing me?

[Pine] What if you’re playing me? Thank you.

[Roxana] There’s night security outside the building, so be careful.

[Pine] You worried about me?

[Roxana] No, I couldn’t care less. But if they discover who you are, I’m dead. So no mistakes.

[Teddy] I’m going to make a phone call. No one gets in, okay?

Yes, sir. I’ll make sure of that. Don’t worry.

[Teddy] It’s Eduardo. Put me through to Mr. Hanson. I see. Tell him I called. I’ve decided it’s time to lose the prosecutor. We’ll find a replacement who’ll release the cargo. I need a meeting with Gilberto and his friends for full approval. The hill-top restaurant. Tomorrow night. All right. Good.

[Teddy] Forgive me, father.

[Roxana] Did you get what you were looking for? Hello? Hello! Excuse me. I asked you a question. I’m talking to you.

[Pine] Here’s a question for you. What does the name Gilberto Hanson mean to you?

[Roxana] Nothing. Why?

[Pine] Because he’s working with Teddy.

[Roxana] Okay, well, I don’t know him.

[Pine] You’ve been working for this company for five years. There’s an awful lot you don’t know.

[Roxana] Okay. I know his name, but I never met him. I don’t dig where I’m not asked.

[Pine] You’re lying.

[Roxana] Fuck you. I got you the codes. That was the deal.

[Pine] Codes gave me nothing. All I found was an empty briefcase. It should have contained a shipment list detailing exactly what’s sitting in Cartagena port right now. I could have blown the whole thing wide open. What did they do with the list?

[Roxana] I don’t know.

[Pine] Just as you don’t know Gilberto Hanson.

[Roxana] No, I don’t.

[Pine] You don’t know who the weapons are for.

[Roxana] I told you Teddy compartmentalises.

[Pine] You don’t know what the operation is or who’s paying for it.

[Roxana] I have no fucking idea.

[Pine] Or why the brits are involved. You’re playing me just like you did in London to save your skin.

[Roxana] Get the fuck off me!

[Pine] People died because of you! People I loved!

[Roxana] Don’t fucking touch me. Don’t even think about it. We’re due downstairs in 20 minutes, I’m gonna take a shower to make it look like our time together was real nice. Tomorrow morning, your money better come through. Then I’m out of here or I’ll fucking tell them everything.

[Pine] I wouldn’t do that if I were you.

[Roxana] I’ve got this far alone. I’ll take my chances.

MEDELLÍN

[Martín] Come in.

[Sally] Evening, Martín. It’s lovely to meet you. My name is Jane.

[Martín] To what do I owe the pleasure, Jane?

[Sally] You, you recently met a friend of mine, Max Robinson. Max requests your services for the next few days. Exclusive. No questions asked. Our proposed fee is 5,000 dollars. How does that sound?

[Martín] It sounds delightful. And… Who are you, Jane?

[Sally] I’m one of the questions you don’t ask. Now, I need you to help me find someone.

[Pine] Teddy not joining us?

[Juan] He’s on his way. And Roxana, where is she?

[Pine] She is… changing. May I?

[Juan] I thought you had a headache.

[Pine] Hair of the dog. Cures the wound. Cheers.

[Juan] Cheers. Did you enjoy your afternoon?

[Pine] Are you jealous?

[Juan] I’m protective.

[Pine] Is that what they call it?

[Juan] Have some respect for miss Bolaños. She’s not just a beautiful face. Okay?

[Pine] Okay. Meaning?

[Juan] Roxana may be young, but she’s a true Colombian. On the battleground you have to take sides. Roxana has taken ours.

[Pine] For the money.

[Juan] Not just for the money.

[Pine] Okay, then for what?

[Juan] You should ask what happened to her father.

[Pine] What’s this?

[Juan] Air tickets to Paris. When the money is through, you fly back. Go and see your daughter. Don’t take it personally, but we don’t want you here.

[Pine] Thanks. Aha!

[Roxana] Hola. Hi. Sorry I’m late.

[Pine] It was worth the wait.

[Teddy] Well, well, well. Good evening.

[Pine] Teddy.

[Teddy] Mateo. Your last night in Latin America.

[Pine] Yeah, so I hear. I thought I might let my hair down a little. You know?

[Teddy] Sí? I can’t wait. Roxy, you look beautiful.

[Roxana] Thank you.

[Teddy] Vamos?

[Juan] Jealous? Believe me, you do not have to be.

[Pine] May I?

[Teddy] Sure.

[Pine] They’re flying me out in the morning. I have the air ticket in my pocket.

[Roxana] That’s not my problem, is it?

[Pine] You want immunity? I need what was in that briefcase. I need it now.

[Roxana] Don’t fucking threaten me.

[Roxana] But please…

[Juan] I stand by what I say. This idea that a man should remain faithful to one woman. One only woman… Bullshit.

[Pine] You know the real problem with human beings?

[Teddy] No. Tell us.

[Pine] We’re genetically dishonest. Right? He understands. He gets it.

[Teddy] What do you mean by that?

[Pine] Deception is in our DNA. From the moment we’re born, everything is lies. As babies, we feign pain. As children, we cry crocodile tears. Later, we pretend to seek goodness or truth, but it’s all for self-interest. We’re animals out for survival. Take Roxana and me. We walk along the beach together this afternoon. We go back to the hotel. We’re arm in arm. Now, don’t take this the wrong way. You’re gorgeous, but you’re not in love with me. It’s my money you want. I say I want you, but really I’m just using you for my own purposes. We both know that. This whole setup. It’s a piece of theatre, and we’re acting our parts! All of us!

[Juan] Well. Act them quietly. People can hear you.

[Pine] So what? At least I have the honesty to admit who I am. I’m a fraud. Lying about what I know to get what I want. [in Spanish] I’m a fraud!

[Roxana] Keep your fucking voice down.

[Teddy] And what are you lying about?

[Pine] Well, for example, I know you have a shipment sitting in the port less than a mile from here. Manifest looks aboveboard… machine tools for pipelines. But it’s fake. I’ve done deals with the mod boys. I know the scam. Da, da, da, da! I’m guessing you have a problem, right? Maybe someone’s on to you and you need to deal with them. Threaten, bribe them. Whatever. It’s fine. I’m papering over the cracks while this happens. I’ve got no problem with that. Okay? I’ve made my donation to the young victims of Colombia’s many years of violence. And my money’s good. You’ll have your 20 million in a few hours. But I’m not a fool. I know what game I’m playing, and it isn’t tennis.

[Teddy] Bravo! This night is over.

[Pine] Teddy! Where are you going? What did I say? I just… I just told the truth.

[Juan] Roxana, it’s time to go. Mr. Ellis has an early flight.

[Pine] Come on! We’re just getting started.

[Roxana] What fucking game are you playing at?

[Pine] Like you said, it’s none of your business.

[Viktor] Mr. Ellis, would you come with me, please?

[Pine] It’s okay, Viktor, I think I know the way to my own fucking room.

[Viktor] No, you don’t.

[Juan] I can’t believe you didn’t know anything. Has anyone been here this afternoon?

[security guard] Just Mr. dos Santos, sir.

[Juan] Okay. Check the CCTV footage. Now.

[security guard] Yes, sir.

[Roxana] What are we doing here?

[Juan] Following our friend’s little outburst, we’re checking to see if anything is missing. What are you looking at? Turn around. … What did he say to you?

[Roxana] Nothing. I had no idea he knew any of that.

[Juan] Show me your phone.

[Roxana] Why?

[Juan] You have something to hide? Unlock it. What happened in Medellín? Did he get you drunk?

[Roxana] I… I got him drunk. Whatever he found out, he did it on his own before he met me. Did it occur to you that he’s just smarter than you?

[Juan] You vouched for him!

[Roxana] I made the risks perfectly clear! But you need the money. You need it fast. And you won’t even tell me why. You never tell me anything!

[Juan] Listen. The only reason you’re here is my loyalty to your father. And never forget it.

[Roxana] Trust me. I won’t.

Sir… I have the CCTV. It looks clean.

[Juan] Show me.

[security guard] Yes, sir. It’s up in the security room.

[Juan] Let’s see. Come on! Come on! Did you check everything?

[security guard] Yes, sir.

[Roxana] Fuck.

[Juan] Go back to the hotel. In the morning, you’ll leave for Medellín. You’ll stay in Teddy’s villa. You don’t go outside. In a few days, you’ll fly home to Miami. And just to be clear… You won’t see Matthew Ellis again.

[Viktor] Come on, let’s go.

[Pine] What are you gonna do? I’m a British citizen.

[Viktor] Wow. Congratulations.

Get in. Hurry up. The chief is waiting!

[Basil] I got your call.

[Mayra] Come on in. Thanks for coming so soon. I thought you’d be in Wales.

[Basil] Not this weekend. Rigoletto at the garden last night. Disappointing, sadly.

[Mayra] Can I get you a coffee or water?

[Basil] I’m okay. Thanks, Mayra.

[Mayra] Okay. Sit down. So, I’ve been looking at these files that you sent over. Not much there, is there?

[Basil] Yes. I came to the same conclusion.

[Mayra] But we did find an email that Rex sent nine years ago to someone called Andrew birch. It was deleted from the main cache, but my boys recovered it. It mentions a Luxembourg bank account. 300 million dollars. Did you hear of it?

[Basil] News to me. But I never had Rex’s ear beyond technical support.

[Mayra] Do you think you could get me access to the account? I’m a bit concerned that Rex wasn’t telling me everything.

[Basil] Of course. I’ll try on Monday.

[Mayra] It’s a bit more urgent than that. Could you do it now?

[Basil] Right away, then. Can I keep that?

[Mayra] Of course.

[Basil] Okay. Thanks, Mayra.

[Teddy] Tie him down. Let me explain something to you, Matthew. It’s still very possible for someone to disappear in my country. So how did you find out what you told us tonight?

[Pine] I’m not telling you anything.

[Teddy] Who the fuck are you? Who the fuck are you?

[Pine] All right! My name is Matthew Ellis! I was a banker in Hong Kong. I got in trouble. I escaped with 25 million dollars that are not my own. Everything I told you is true except for one thing: I didn’t get thrown out of the army. I was sent with military intelligence. Basra and Fallujah, 2005 to 2008.

[Teddy] You’re such a liar. That’s not on your record.

[Pine] No, it’s not. Why do you think that is?

[Teddy] Tell me.

[Pine] I know how to find things out about people. I came to Medellín because I needed to clean my money. I targeted you. I knew you were in trouble. But the money is real. And it will be in the Aurora account in one hour.

[Teddy] I hope so. Because that’s the only way you come out of this alive.

[Basil] I’ve located the account. 300 million, untouched for nine years. What the hell was Rex playing at?

[Mayra] Show me.

[Teddy] Three minutes, my friend.

[Sally] Come on, Basil. Where is it? Fuck…

[Basil] I had one idea. I could try a dummy transaction to a shadow ops account. Tech has one in Belize off the peg. Twenty million, maybe. If someone queries it, we could trace the query, see where it leads us.

[Mayra] I want to consult on it. Do nothing until I say.

[Basil] Okay.

[Sally] Shit.

[Teddy] It’s not there.

[Pine] What do you mean?

[Teddy] The money is not there!

[Pine] Look, Teddy, there’s been a mistake.

[Sally] Where the fuck are you, Jonathan?

[Pine] It’s too late. The money is going to go through. Let me call the bank.

[Teddy] You’re so fucking full of shit!

[Pine] It’s just late.

[Teddy] You’ve lied from the moment I met you, cabrón!

[Pine] No, no! No, no, no! Get the fuck off me!

[Basil] Basil Karapetian.

[Mayra] You have a go-ahead on the dummy transaction.

[Pine] No! Get off! No!

[Juan] We have the money.

[Teddy] Are you sure? Viktor! Viktor, wait! The money’s there.

[Pine] Fuck you, Teddy. What happened to trust?

[Teddy] Get him up.

[Teddy] Are you hungry?

[Pine] Yeah, sure.

[Teddy] There’s somewhere I have to go first.

[priest] The body of Christ. The body of Christ.

[Teddy] I was about to kill you, Matthew.

[Pine] Certainly felt that way.

[Teddy] Ay, Matthew. You have no idea who I really am, do you? All my life, I fought for money, like a dog. Here. Mexico. Guatemala. Blood feuds. Always in the dirt.

How did you get into it?

[Teddy] How? I think I was born into it. My mother was Mexican. Mexicana. She came here, died young. So I was raised by priests on a monastery. Really religious. I escaped as soon as I could. Then I went back to Mexico. I get involved with the wrong people. I’m in jail.

[Pine] And your father? Where was he in all this?

[Teddy] My father was… Was there as much as he could be.

[Pine] Right.

[Teddy] He’s not with us anymore. He died six years ago.

[Pine] I’m sorry.

[Teddy] Don’t worry.

[Pine] What was he like?

[Teddy] He was an Englishman, just like you.

[Pine] Whoa. What the hell was he doing here?

[Teddy] The same that I’m doing.

[Pine] And what’s that?

[Teddy] You don’t want to know, Matthew. Believe me.

[Pine] Try me.

[Teddy] I’m creating an army. Soldiers for hire.

[Pine] Soldiers? From where?

[Teddy] All over the country. Poor. Young.

[Pine] Aurora. Because orphans grow wild in Colombia. Who’s the army for?

[Teddy] No, Matthew. That, you don’t get to know.

[Teddy] [in Spanish] Give me a minute, then drive me back to the chopper.

[Teddy] Take your phone back. Stay here. Don’t leave your room, and I’ll take you to the airport tomorrow.

[Pine] Where are you going now?

[Teddy] I have a business meeting out of the city.

[Pine] Always business.

[Teddy] There’s a problem I need to fix. See you tomorrow.

[Pine] See you tomorrow.

[Teddy] [in Spanish] Goodbye, my friend.

[Pine] Hi. Gin and tonic and a double Espresso, please.

[barman] Okay.

[Sally] It’s nice to know you’re alive. So we don’t have the list?

[Pine] Not yet.

[Sally] What happened?

[Pine] Teddy had some trust issues.

[Pine] Thank you.

[Pine] Where’s Alejandro?

[Sally] He’s at home. They’re still watching him. A car is constantly outside his apartment.

[Pine] Okay, keep him calm. Teddy won’t do anything till he’s got the go-ahead tonight. He’s flying to a secret location, a hilltop restaurant. This is the chopper’s ID. We need to follow him there. Gilberto Hanson will be at the meeting. I think he’s behind the whole thing.

[Sally] I doubt that. My team sent me this. Hanson was in a helicopter accident 17 years ago, smuggling arms into remote areas. His death was kept a secret.

[Pine] So why is Teddy calling Hanson on the phone?

[Sally] Someone’s watching us.

[Pine] What the hell are you doing here?

[Roxana] I have something for you.

[Pine] Not here. Come on. Let’s go. Are you alone?

[Roxana] I snuck out the villa, but there’s a taxi waiting. I can’t be long.

[Pine] In here. Get in. Show me. … Where did you get this?

[Roxana] It’s what you needed, right?

[Pine] Yes.

[Roxana] I’m being flown out tomorrow, so you don’t know me. And we never met. Is that clear?

[Pine] Understood.

[Roxana] Good.

[Pine] Roxana.

[Roxana] What?

[Pine] Why are you working with these people?

[Roxana] I already told you. It’s for the money.

[Pine] For the money?

[Roxana] Yes.

[Pine] Because Juan said…

[Roxana] Juan knows nothing.

[Pine] He told me to ask about your father.

[Roxana] My father died when I was six. He was kidnapped for refusing to pay local guerrilla protection. My mom and I expected to receive a ransom note. But instead we got a body delivered to our summer house in the country. I watched them dump him at the gates.

[Pine] That’s why you left for America?

[Roxana] Yes. My mom still owns the house, even though we’ve never once been back.

[Pine] I’m sorry.

[Roxana] Well, I should go.

[Pine] Yes, you should go. … I have a bad record with people I get close to.

[Roxana] Me too.

[Sally] Sorry to intrude. Teddy’s flying out.

[Martín] Nice to see you again, Mr. Robinson.

[Sally] He’s going southwest. Follow the road to Nilo. Last known coordinates 5.1765, 72.9313.

[Pine] Got it. … There’s nothing here. Help me out. What can you see?

[Sally] Not much. There’s a large house, la estancia.

[Pine] Who owns it?

[Sally] Okay, listen to this. It’s registered under the name Gilberto Paredes Hanson.

[Pine] Sally, is there a restaurant near where we are?

[Sally] Just one. La loma del yarumo. It’s a mile away.

[Pine] Okay. Stop here. Stop. Turn the car around. Be ready.

[Martín] Okay.

[Teddy] Our guest is about to arrive. Bring him in once he gets here.

Yes, sir. No problem.

[Teddy] All good?

All good, excellent.

[Teddy] Please tell Gilberto that they’re almost here.

Of course.

[Teddy] Perfect.

[Teddy] General.

[General Sánchez] Teddy, how are you?

[Teddy] All good, and you?

[General Sánchez] Is Mr. Hanson here?

[Teddy] He’s inside. Don’t worry. The restaurant has been closed all day. Please, come in. There’s already a drink waiting for you. Here’s Cabrera now. José, welcome.

[José Cabrera] Thanks, Teddy.

[Teddy] How are you?

[José Cabrera] Good.

[Teddy] Mr. Hanson and the general are waiting for you.

[José Cabrera] Thank you.

[Teddy] Don’t worry, José.

[José Cabrera] General.

[General Sánchez] How are you?

[General Sánchez] Gilberto.

[Teddy] The issue with the prosecutor will be solved tomorrow. As you know, he has proved stubborn. So now we do things our way. His time is up.

[José Cabrera] Nothing will be traced back to us?

[Teddy] I guarantee you. I will look after it myself.

[General Sánchez] And I have ensured a successor to Mr. Gualteros will be appointed.
