And it was all about, um, like, supernatural phenomena, uh, ghosts and ESP and the Bermuda Triangle.
Never heard of it.
Actually, the episode about UFOs was how I first got interested in space.
And then we did a school trip to the Kennedy Space Center and… that sealed it for me.
How old were you?
Fourteen.
We were led into this dark theater.
They were doing this presentation on the creation of NASA.
And Tyler Merkow sat down next to me.
Cutest boy in eighth grade, oh, my God.
I had such a crush on him.

But then suddenly the movie stopped.
And the lights went pitch black.
And we could hear this…

And then the walls were no longer there.
And the dark became the sky.
And all of a sudden, the Atlantis shuttle… the actual real thing… was right there, suspended like it was flying.
And Tyler grabbed my hand.
And for a minute, I felt like I was flying, too.
