The New York Times: A Mouthpiece for Israeli Genocide in Gaza

Israel is ever attuned to the US news cycle. It has predictably escalated its genocide in Gaza as the Kamala Harris candidacy replaced Gaza as the top news story. The past few weeks have been particularly gruesome: another day, another massacre of innocents. The New York Times plays its assigned role. Desperate to appease its reader base of billionaire Jewish supremacists on the Upper East Side in Manhattan, the Times keeps churning out the Israeli propaganda. Here’s one of its wretched headlines today (10 September 2024):

“Unwilling to Be Militants’ Human Shields, Some Gazans Turn Gunmen Away From Shelters”

Midway into this harrowing article on Hamas perfidy, the reader who gets this far comes across this line: “It was not possible to confirm whether armed or unarmed militants stay in the school shelters.” In other words, the whole thing is fabricated out of whole cloth. The authors of this article are identified as Bilal Shbair and Matthew Mpoke Bigg. Let there be no mistake: these two “persons of color” are complicit in genocide.
