Despite the severity of the situation, the West and many Arab countries remain silent, complicit in a deliberate massacre, while Israel’s impunity continues to grow before everyone’s eyes.

Yesterday’s attack in Lebanon, met with the cowardly and spineless silence of the West and some Arab countries, is nothing short of state terrorism. Those who remain silent in the face of such a massacre are accomplices!
According to Sky News Arabia, the Mossad, Israel’s intelligence agency, placed highly sophisticated explosives (PETN) inside the batteries of pagers, causing them to explode. This is an attack that deliberately targets civilians, as these devices are not only used by Lebanese resistance fighters but also by civilian employees of Hezbollah institutions: schools, hospitals, and media outlets.
Clash Report also revealed that Israel infiltrated the supply chain of the pagers, planting bombs in devices provided by companies like Motorola and Gold Apollo. This action required years of preparation, proving it was a well-orchestrated plan developed over time. This is not just an attack against an armed group but a deliberate attempt to terrorize an entire community by directly targeting civilians. It’s important to remember that Hezbollah is not only a military force but also a political party actively participating in the Lebanese government.
Attacking Hezbollah in this way means targeting not just soldiers but also teachers, doctors, journalists, and families, including children. A 10-year-old girl died, yet she hasn’t made the front page anywhere! It’s as if a foreign government were bombing a political party or members of Congress. Imagine if such an action were carried out against U.S. or European politicians—by now, outrage would be broadcast across all networks, and the “war on terror” with its ensuing destruction of entire countries and millions of deaths would be imminent.
Let’s not beat around the bush; this is one of the most violent and deliberate terrorist attacks in history. Dozens dead, over 4,000 injured, hospitals overwhelmed, and an entire country destabilized with the aim of widening the war. This is Israel, a rogue state or “pariah,” as many UN human rights experts, including Francesca Albanese, recently said. News of this, of course, is entirely absent from the pages of the so-called “free press.” A terrorist state that seeks to instill fear through death and destruction under an impunity that has become unbearable.
Oh, and one last thing: the pagers had barely finished exploding when the United States quickly let us know they weren’t involved. It’s rather curious to note that more than two weeks ago, on August 29, the employees of the American University Medical Center in Beirut received an email informing them that their “old pagers” would be replaced. It’s also curious to note that, according to Axios, Netanyahu and senior security officials approved the operation shortly after U.S. envoy Amos Hochstein’s visit. But of course, they’re never involved, and they never know anything.
