Bye Bye Joe

Biden's exit, marked by a disappointing presidency, leaves Trump with a renewed anti-establishment appeal. Kamala Harris faces a tough challenge for the Democrats.
Bye Bye Joe

They set Biden up, and now that he’s leaving due to health issues, they lament. Trump, who would have easily won against Biden, now faces a challenge with Kamala Harris, who, despite being unpopular, may still pose a threat. Biden’s presidency is viewed as a disappointment, with domestic struggles and international failures, particularly in Ukraine and Gaza. Meanwhile, Trump’s anti-system appeal remains strong, with many supporting him more out of system hatred than genuine support.

They dug his grave, and now that he’s finally decided to step into it, they’re whining. That TV debate with Trump was a trap to reveal a truth his party had been hiding for months: the American president’s brain had turned to mush. Far from a hero, Biden leaves reluctantly for medical reasons after months of fierce resistance. After all, the last thing needed was a Commander without a Chief who talks to walls and gets lost in visions while missiles and drones fly everywhere. Trump’s toxic ego took it badly; with old Joe, he would have easily won. Now, he’s lost the center stage and needs to update his repertoire of nonsense. Kamala Harris has received a half-hearted endorsement and is favored due to time constraints, but she’s disliked by many and not very popular in the country. As Biden’s vice president, she’s learned to play the part, mastering fake smiles and grimaces, and she even has the wardrobe. But it remains to be seen if the Democratic party will rally behind her or call for new primaries. Harris, daughter of immigrants Trump wants to deport en masse, is a prosecutor who would face one of the many sexual predators and fraudsters she’s pursued in her career. In a head-to-head, she could hold her own, but the challenge is to convince Americans to vote in large numbers to counter a still very much alive Trumpism. The less politically engaged need to be roused from their couches, requiring a strong ticket. If Harris is confirmed, a vice president with solid credentials will be needed, and as with old Joe, polls will ultimately decide because the goal is to win for the good of the country but also for one’s own skin.

Meanwhile, it’s time for assessments. Biden leaves amid hypocritical praise, but his presidency seems disappointing. Domestically, the data shows the American economy is healthy, but Wall Street is one thing and the streets are another. Common people complain about the high cost of living and rent, needing two jobs to get by while tent cities sprout everywhere. Fentanyl zombies, stores closing due to constant robberies, and education and healthcare remain luxuries for many. The usual America with the only difference being the rich are fewer and richer. Not bad for a democratic administration. Internationally, Biden has done even worse. He will be remembered as the arsonist of Ukraine and especially as an accomplice in the Gaza genocide. Previous presidents had stopped Zionist delusions, but he bowed to Netanyahu, kept selling him arms, and allowed him into Rafah. The Biden administration has shown itself to be at the leash of the pro-Israel lobby, starting with the mainstream media that protected him until the end. Biden embodied a system that many Americans can no longer stand, which is why a narcissistic criminal like Trump still gathers a flood of votes. He is supported by neo-fascist fringes, religious fanatics, frustrated cowboys, but also many common people who see in Trump an opportunity for change. They vote for him more out of hatred for the system than love for him.

It’s true, Trump is rich but he is despised by the politically correct do-gooders, has all the major media against him, and is still perceived as an anti-system anomalous politician who, despite his enormous limits and flaws, can serve the common people’s interests while serving his own. Scenes all too familiar on this side of the ocean. And the rallies confirm it. Trump wants the White House to feed his toxic ego and escape prison, but he talks about inflation and tent cities and has reiterated he will not send weapons to Zelensky, using that money for American citizens, wants peace with Putin, and even on the Israeli issue, he seems less tamed. If Kamala Harris or whoever else does not understand this, he will win again. According to Trump, it was God who diverted the bullet that grazed his blond tuft; he says the Almighty wants him to save America but the more malicious believe He actually wants him to pay for his sins to the last. Biden’s head rolled because of the polls, for in the end, winning is crucial for saving the country but also one’s own skin. We’ll see if the Good Lord wants old Joe by His side or will at least let him finish his presidential term. In the meantime, bye bye.
