Synopsis: In this sequel to the mythological epic, Ne Zha faces his most personal battle yet as a mysterious new threat emerges from the sea, testing his powers, destiny, and identity. As Ne Zha struggles with his dual nature and past mistakes, he must forge uneasy alliances—including with Ao Bing—to stop ancient forces that could unravel the balance between Heaven and Earth. Rooted in Chinese folklore and loosely based on Investiture of the Gods, Ne Zha 2 expands the universe with rich animation, deeper character arcs, and epic battles.

[Taiyi] A long time ago, a Primal Orb arose born from chaos.

The Supreme Lord split the unruly Orb in two.

From its light, came the Spirit Pearl, and its dark, the Demon Orb.

But the dark half was marked by a curse from Heaven, which in three years would annihilate it with divine lightning.

Later, due to the sabotage of Shen Gongbao, the dark half was reborn as Lord Li Jing’s third son, Nezha.

And the light became the third son of the Loong King, Ao Bing.

By fate, lost halves met, and soon, they became the best of friends.

Nezha raised hell, but through his parents’ love, tamed his nature and saved Chentang Pass.

Hand in hand with Ao Bing, they faced Heaven’s Wrath, and at last, were able to change their fate.
