Moana 2 (2024)
Genre:Â Adventure, Animation, Family, Fantasy
Director:Â David G. Derrick Jr., Jason Hand, Dana Ledoux Miller
Writers:Â Jared Bush, Dana Ledoux Miller, Bek Smith
Stars:Â Auli’i Cravalho, Dwayne Johnson, Hualalai Chung
Synopsis: Three years after the first film, Moana embarks on a quest to discover others connected to the ocean. She receives a vision from her ancestor, Tautai Vasa, warning her of Nalo, a storm god who seeks power over mortals and has sunk the magical island of Motufetu, disconnecting people from the ocean. Moana, joined by Maui and her companions, faces numerous challenges, including battles with Nalo’s enforcer, Matangi, and an ambush in Nalo’s deadly realm. Despite setbacks, Moana and Maui work together to raise Motufetu, breaking Nalo’s curse and reconnecting people with the sea. Moana gains a wayfinder tattoo, Maui regains his godhood, and the islanders celebrate her triumph. Meanwhile, Nalo and Matangi, joined by Tamatoa, plot revenge against Moana.
